The ending of the story depends on what you choose to see.

Dignity Comes First

BOSTON HEAT

Tangled up with addiction, homelessness, and trauma, it’s most dangerous for women who’ve been harmed for years.

Traffickers are experts in control. They prey on vulnerability, promise protection, control access to drugs, and tighten the trap until “choice” disappears.

When a woman in active addiction who is being exploited reaches a breaking point, she often lands in the ER, detox, jail, or court. But these places aren’t built to respond to what’s happening to her, so she’s sent back into the same danger.

Again.
And again.

Sex trafficking is happening in plain sight on the streets of Boston

They say she made her choices
like that ends the conversation.
But you don’t choose a cage
built from trauma and exploitation.

Our approach is women-centered. Relationship-based. Dignity-focused.

OUR APPROACH

A different approach for a different outcome

We are the only organization in Boston dedicated specifically to women being sex trafficked while in active addiction. We meet women where they are.

No prerequisites. No judgment. No conditions.

We bring what most organizations can’t. A steady presence, lived experience, clinical expertise, and time.

That’s what we mean when we say dignity comes first.

Where dignity comes first, a woman doesn’t have to prove she deserves care. She doesn’t have to be sober, stable, or “ready” before she’s supported.

We start with dignity because it’s the only way women can find their footing, claim their agency, and begin to move beyond exploitation and addiction.
